Dr. Iqbal Dulloo

Before I joined the Freeman Lab in October 2013, I did my PhD and my first postdoc at the National Cancer Centre of Singapore. I worked on p73 protein, a member of the p53 family of tumour suppressors. The projects consisted of looking at (1) the mechanisms regulating the protein stability of this tumour suppressor in cancer cells and in response to chemotherapeutic drugs; (2) its functions in response to hypoxic stress and role in tumour angiogenesis.

Since moving to the Freeman Lab, I have been looking at several aspects of iRhom pseudoproteases regulation and also exploring their potential functions in new physiologically and medically relevant pathway
