Dr. Xin Shen

I am a DPhil student in Freeman lab and I joined the lab in 2014. My current research interest is on investigating the biological role of one of the most mysterious members of the rhomboid-like superfamily, TMEM115. Before joining the Freeman lab, I did a master in Biomedical research at Imperial College London (United Kingdom). I was mainly focusing on identifying small molecule inhibitors for a novel breast cancer target, LRH-1. Before moving to UK, I did a BSc in Biotechnology at Nanjing University (P. R. China) and finished a final year research project on modifying targeted drug delivery system for more efficient breast cancer treatment.
